Katachi, meaning "shape" in Japanese, explores the playfulness of form while delicately balancing light and shadow in its design. This piece, with its irregular surface that subtly reflects and distorts light throughout the day, is a visual delight. Evolving through a meticulous process, the glass is first heated to 1000°C before being placed into its custom mould. Careful mouth-blowing then takes place before it is removed and tempered in an oven. Finished in the muted smoked forest colouring, each vase is unique with subtle variations and delicate air bubbles, which add to its individual charm.
